Oops, it's been a while, Christmas, New Year and all that. SO, I must get into the swing of things for 2008 and what better way the the Golden Globes, the first of the big American entertainments awards season. The Golden Globe Awards are awarded for the best motion pictures and television programmes and normally run as a fundraiser by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
Well, it wasn't so big this year. Due to the continuing writers strike in the US, none of the stars nominated would cross the picket lines, so instead of the usual glamorous Hollywood red carpet ceremony, the winners were announced in an extended telecast in Los Angeles. Still, there were some well deserved winners and plenty of British interest.
